MOTO GUZZI V85TT TRIPS

Southern Utah Ride
August 2021
I originally had plans to ride the rather new Moto Guzzi V85TT from my home in Lake Havasu to Cedarville, CA (near the Oregon and Nevada borders) for the End-of-Pavement Rally, a meet-up of several adventure riders to explore the region. However, the fires throughout Central and Northern California caused me to change my plans; and instead, I took a solo trip through Southern Utah.

I travelled north towards Vegas, through the Lake Mead national Recreation Area, and on to St. George, Utah for the first night. The next morning, I left early headed towards Zion and Bryce National Parks - both parks have absolutely beautiful scenery. Zion is majestic, while Bryce is somewhat other-worldly with it's unique hoodoo formations. From Bryce, I continued east to spend the night in Escalante.

The next morning was a ride through the beautiful scenery of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and then to Capitol Reef National Park. And from there, it was on to Moab. I would spend a total of three nights in Moab, allowing me time to explore both on-road and off-road around the Moab area - more unbelievable scenery. Riding around Moab, every corner is a new view and a new picture opportunity of amazing scenery.

I finally need to leave Moab, and headed south to spend a night in Winslow, AZ; before heading back to Lake Havasu. It was a wonderful, and beautiful first extended multi-day ride on the Moto Guzzi.
